Independent Expertise for Complex Environmental Decisions
DeStefano Environmental Consulting is led by Noelle DeStefano, PhD, an environmental analytical chemist with deep expertise in PFAS, emerging contaminants, laboratory methods, regulatory strategy, and environmental program leadership.
Dr. DeStefano has led technical initiatives across commercial laboratories, consulting organizations, and public-sector programs. Her work focuses on translating complex analytical science into practical, defensible decisions.
Her experience includes analytical method development and implementation, laboratory and data-quality review, regulatory and method-approval support, evaluation of treatment and destruction technologies, and management of multidisciplinary environmental programs.
She holds a PhD in Environmental Analytical Chemistry from Duke University and a BS in Chemical Oceanography from Florida Institute of Technology. She also completed postdoctoral research in civil and environmental engineering at North Carolina State University.
